Established in 2017, the Clinton Little Devils Association, Inc. began as an independent program consisting of 5 teams: 8U Black, 8U Red, 10U Black, 10U Red and 12U. We obtained our 501(c)(3) status and began multiple fundraising events to support our plan.
Mission: To establish, promote and maintain a sports program for children ages 7-12 which includes competitive football and cheerleading. Clinton Little Devils Association, Inc. will model, teach and promote character traits that inspire each child to grow in integrity, sportsmanship and respect for others while providing an emotionally and physically safe atmosphere and enjoyable experiences.
During our 2017 season, we were challenged to find competition for our teams to play. We managed to have 7-8 games for each team. However, we did not participate in any playoff games.
In November 2017, 32 members of the CLD participated in the Gatlinburg Thanksgiving Bowl. While we didn't win any of the games, we enjoyed the opportunity of playing in the games as well as the excitement of being in Gatlinburg during the holiday season.
We knew the CLD needed to be linked with a league for our future success. While there were other leagues that met with us and invited us to join their organization, the CLDA board and participating coaches decided that Pop Warner was the best organization for our Association. The safety factory of weight limits was a major factor for the CLDA in making this decision.
We look forward to a rewarding partnership with Pop Warner.
